Iraq’s oil exports to US on the decline

A spokesperson for the U.S. Energy Department said that Iraqi crude oil shipments to the United States dropped in May to its second lowest monthly level since 2003, Reuters reported.

He went on to say that during the month of May, Iraq exported 341,000 barrels of crude oil per day to the US, which is 39 percent lower than it was in April.
