Iran sees oil income of $54 billion in 2006/07 – paper

TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran will earn about $54 billion from the export of 900 million barrels of oil in the year to March 21, 2007, an Iranian newspaper reported.

“Iran’s oil export income this year (ending March 21, 2007) will reach an estimated $54 billion,” Hojjatollah Ghanimifard, executive director of international affairs at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), was quoted as saying by economic daily Jahan-e Eqtesad.

Iran, OPEC’s second-largest producer, pumped 3.83 million barrels per day in June, according to a Reuters survey. Its OPEC quota is 4.11 million bpd.

“Iran will export 900 million barrels by the end of the (Iranian) year,” he said.
