Indonesian output to crash

INDONESIAN oil output will plummet, dropping 50% from current levels within a decade unless government makes it easier for companies to invest, the Indonesian Petroleum Association has warned. Government must scrap regulations that discourage investors, said the association, whose members comprise local and international oil and gas companies operating in the country. These include taxing exploration. Indonesia belongs to Opec and was a net importer of oil for several months last year.
