India’s Oil demand may grow 5% 2005/6

Indian oil demand growth could hit five per cent in the 2005-2006 financial year as the economy grows rapidly, Oil Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar said at a meeting of oil producers and consumers in Saudi Arabia. “We could easily be up five per cent,” Aiyar told journalists on Saturday.
