Forbes – India will start building its first strategic crude oil storage facility in January at Vizag in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, a senior government official was quoted by the Wall Street Journal Asian edition as saying.
The official was quoted as saying in an interview that the Vizag facility ‘will have a capacity to store 1 mln tons of crude oil, and it will be ready in January 2010.’
This volume is equivalent to 7.33 mln barrels, the report said.
