Huge highway bill to become law

President Bush is signing a whopping $286.4 billion, six-year transportation bill that lawmakers stuffed with plenty of cash for some 6,000 pet projects in their districts.

..Keith Ashdown, vice president of policy for Taxpayers for Common Sense, called the measure a “bloated, expensive bill” that the Bush should veto.
