High Energy Costs “Increasingly Worrisome” For Hotel Sector

The Bahamas Hotel Association wants the government to expand the category of energy efficient items that can be imported into the country duty free as hotel properties around the country seek other ways to help drive down soaring costs.

It’s one of several recommendations that the president of the association Earle Bethell had proposed to cushion the impact of the almost intolerable burden to the hotel sector as a result of high energy costs.
