Australian oil exploring company Hardman Resources has dicovered oil in Uganda after drilling for three weeks.
Oil was discovered at Mputa 1 eploration well in Kaisotonya village, Hoima district in western Uganda, 220 kilometres from the capital Kampala.
Local politician Goerge Tinkamanyire said the discovery was a significant landmark in the country’s efforts to improve its economy.
