Group to monitor coal mines’ green efforts

The New South Wales Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Natural Resources will establish a new committee to monitor the environmental performance of coal mines in the state’s Hunter Valley.

The Hunter Coalfields Flora and Fauna Advisory Committee will develop sustainability goals for mining companies and assist in establishing consent conditions for new mining projects.
