Groundwork for Indo-US nuclear energy talks begins

The US administration has started work on the legislative changes necessitated by the joint statement signed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George W Bush last month.

The Oil & Natural Gas (ONGC) working group under the Indo-US energy dialogue has already started discussions on possible collaboration between India and the US on issues of research & development in gas hydrates, oil and gas, alternative fuels, coal bed methane, besides developing standards.
