Gov’t continues search for other energy sources

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has stressed the government will continue to push its efforts to harness alternative sources of fuel to reduce the country’s dependency on expensive imported crude oil.

The President made the statement after she issued Executive Order No. 527 that temporarily reduced import tariffs on crude oil and refined oil products to cushion the impact of record-high world market prices of crude oil on local gasoline prices and the economy.
