The Government of The Gambia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Buried Hill Energy Company in Canada for the drilling of oil wells in The Gambia.
In an interview with the press at the State House, the Commissioner of pertroleum, Ousman Jammeh, who signed on behalf of The Gambia Government, said that what they have signed is the agreement in principle between the Government of The Gambia and Buried Hill Energy of Canada, which will provide the atmosphere for this company to come and invest lots of millions in The Gambia to explore the country’s petroleum resources and this agreement has been a subject of very difficult negotiations.
