General Motors Corp. will cut production by an additional 117,000 vehicles annually, citing continued weakness in consumer demand for pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles.
GM spokesman Tony Sapienza said Monday that the Detroit-based automaker will eliminate one shift each at its plants in Moraine, Ohio, and Shreveport, La. Most of the cuts will affect production of trucks and SUVs.
