Giants vie for LNG links

As Beijing strikes an unusually passive pose – more concerned, perhaps, with security of energy supply than central planning prerogatives – China’s three oil giants are battling tooth and nail for the right to pump billions of dollars into liquefied natural gas projects.

Last year, there were eight LNG terminals on the drawing board, mostly sponsored by China National Offshore Oil Corp.
