When the energy crisis nearly brought our economy to its knees, before it ended in September 2007, many were Ghanaians who heaved a sigh of relief after sleeping in the darkness for well over a year. Assurances were giving to Ghanaians that never again would that unfortunate incident happen in the country, because enough measures have been put in place to avoid future occurrence.
Now, we are in 2009 and a new government has taken over the reins of government, yet the problem with power outages would not go away. The situation is even getting out of hand, but once again the VRA and ECG will not accept that we are in energy crisis. It has become clich
The Chronicle thinks that it is about time the government came out to announce that Ghana has been ushered into another energy crisis. This will enable the good people of this country to adjust to the system, instead of the window dressing gimmicks that is going on. There is no way the Ministry of energy and the VRA can convince Ghanaians that Ghana is not facing power crisis. The Chronicle, therefore, thinks that the best public relations work the government can do is to tell the people the truth.
