The price U.S. motorists paid for gasoline jumped nearly 9 cents over the past week as crude oil prices hovered near three-month highs, the government’s top energy forecasting agency said Monday.
The national price for regular unleaded gasoline averaged about $2.33 a gallon, up 53 cents from a year ago, based on the Energy Information Administration’s survey of service stations.
