Rising demand for fuel is expected to outstrip any increase in refining capacity in the Asia-Pacific region in the near future, oil refiner Caltex said.
Caltex also reiterated that earnings in the first half of the financial year will be hurt by a delay in the company’s clean fuels project.
“Refining capacity additions across the Asia-Pacific region are expected to lag behind demand growth for transportation fuels,” Caltex said in its annual report.
