Striking tanker drivers plan to cut off supplies from major oil refineries in an attempt to escalate a dispute that has already led to queues on the nation’s forecourts.
The drivers for Shell will urge unionised tanker drivers for rival oil companies not to cross their picket lines during the four-day action starting on Friday.
This threatens to multiply dramatically the effect of the disruption caused by only 650 Shell workers.
