The world’s three largest energy companies are intensifying their hunt for natural gas in the U.S., reversing a years-long trend, according to a media report Tuesday. Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM), BP Plc (BP)(BP) and Royal Dutch Shell Plc (RDSARDSA)(RDS.A) have been drawn back to the U.S. by high natural-gas prices, advances in extraction technology and increasing competition for resources abroad, The Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition.
