For Most, The Future Is Overrated

have stats flying out of my mixer these days, I just have to find the time to compile them. The first thing that I wanted to check with the EIA’s data was the electricity consumption per capita. First of all though, if you haven’t seen it already, take a look at what I consider to be the most important graph in energy. Simply put, if you live in a developed country, you’re consuming 4,000 kWh/year or more (and also producing 5.2 tonnes CO2/year or more). About 75% of the world lives in an under developed country today (mostly because North America has 5% of the world’s population but consumes 25% of the world’s resources).
