Firm reveals plans for 83 costal turbines

UP to 83 wind turbines could be built off the south Lincolnshire coast in a project aimed at increasing renewable energy sources in the region.

Centrica Energy Renewables is hoping to start work on the project in 2008 and if the plan goes ahead the site will create enough power to supply 140,000 homes every year, while making an annual carbon dioxide saving of 565,000 tonnes.
