Energy war tale of fiction surely?

The year is 2026 and it could be a plot from a Tom Clancy novel where hero Jack Ryan (probably played by an ageing Harrison Ford or Ewan McGregor in the movie version) has to prevent war from breaking out between Europe and Russia over the supply of energy.

Those nasty Russians have caused a black-out in Western Europe and the European Union is on a war footing. But due to an over-commitment of troops in Iraq, Iran, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Syria and the Sudan there’s only a ‘Dad’s Army’ left to fight for the right to boil a kettle.

It’s ‘Power Wars’ and it’s coming to a cinema near you sometime in the next two decades.
