Energy security is not about gas and oil only

Oil and gas will, nevertheless, continue to remain the major sources of energy supply for at least two more decades globally. For, the alternatives are not yet foreseen to be available in adequate quantities at affordable prices in most of the places of large-scale use. It is also true that for obvious reasons, gas will slowly displace oil and the rate of displacement will only rise with time.

India is, fortunately, placed close to countries with huge gas reserves, both established and potential.
