Well, lets point out the worst errors.

Cars do NOT convert 30% of the energy in fossil-fuel to useful work, ie driveing 20 miles to wall-mart so you can save 50 cents on a gallon of hormone laden milk. Thats actully DIESELs %. Gas-o-line burners have on average 15% or lower thermal efficency. Few gas-burners can reach 30% If you take all factors into consideration, a gas burners true ‘efficency’ is actually less than 5%

All electrical power is derived from oil. All the grids dependencies are oil-linked, even if the power from the grid is strictly speaking, not oily.

Most of the ‘consumer’ products made from oil, are either un-necessary, toxic and extremely poorly made. Tooth-paste made form oil. Dont need it. Baking soda for example, is non-toxic, unlike indust-tooth paste and does a better job cleaning your teeth. Tires for gas-burners! An env. diasaster nestled inside a much larger one. If tried became to expensive to make, I wouldnt shed a tear for the loss. Well, bike tired im ok with, can make billion of those for a fration of the oil used on car tires, and they last a lot longer too. House paint, so you can make your energy sucking, car-dependent, sytrofoam home look good? And the poisonous as hell to boot. Yea we need at that and all the other toxic wonders made from magical ‘oil’ Thats the real reason our hostpials and clinis are overflowing with cancer patients.

What can we Do?

Why keep driveing gas-burnings cars of course! But get one with marginally better MPG, and that will save the planet and make everything better,and yes, that was sarcasm.

Lets all replace our gas-burners(eventually) on a one-for-one basis with EV’s. That will work out just fine, because as we all know, the only problem that cars create, is polluton from there gas-burning engines. Otherwise, cars are 150% consequence free! If fact, if cars didnt have gas-engines, haveing more cars will repair global-warming, make people happy, improve cities, and rainbows made of cars will appear over every city and town on earth.

Find altneratives!

Yes ride a bike, walk, redesign our hideous cities and towns, fund electric surface mass transit, dismantle the casual air-travel system. Oh, but wait, thats what they want, in fact, they didnt mention a single one of these true alternatives. They want ‘alternative FUELS, for there gas-burners. Well kick our addiction to oil, but well just addicted to a slighly different fuel! One is that is just as destructive, more costly and prob no cleaner than the current one, were saved! Oyea and throw in some wind and solar for feel good points.

Brought to you by the Propaganda Mill known as the US Government. 41 years? BS! We will be refining the asphalt in the road in front of your house before that. (4 billion barrels in the millions of miles of paved roads in the US.

Not one mention of how the crumbling financial system is going to finance all of that mentioned above. I personally think that the world will have enough oil because the support system is going to go down and take most of civilization with it long before we pump the last barrel.

The Arab oil embargo caused oil prices to rise 315% in 1973. What would people do today if the price of their gas went up 315%? In 1973 we saw long gas lines, high prices, rationing, higher unemployment and business failures. Individuals, businesses and politicians are not prepared for higher energy prices and supply contraction.

I forgot S.A. makes most of it’s electricity burning oil. At this point, just tell the masses there is plenty of oil with fracking and the sands. Don’t bother telling them about EROEI or anything….they’ll panic.
