Energy expert is clutching at straws

IRELAND – A respected authority on fossil fuels has turned the debate on its head claiming the world has enough fossil fuels to energise the globe for at least 500 years.

This is the view of a man who, for 20 years, believed the energy situation was grim.

Professor Mark Jaccard is an expert in sustainable energy. He concludes in his new book Sustainable Fossil Fuels that we have plenty of oil, gas and coal to sustain us indefinitely.
