Oil is in limited supply. What there is of it is largely located in OPEC nations, most of which are controlled by Islam. About half of U.S. imports of crude oil come from OPEC nations.
When one hears of the distant time, say 30 years, when peak oil production will be reached, it should not be taken to mean that oil reserves around the globe would decrease proportionately. On the contrary, non-OPEC reserves will be the first to go.
Those who heavily rely on imports in the future will find themselves drawn deeper and deeper into the web of Arab oil reserves, the largest on earth.
And in the interim, competition for available oil will grow more intense because huge and growing nations, like China and India are increasingly looking for huge new gulps of oil to satisfy their ballooning energy needs.
