End subsidies to oil and gas companies, Greens say

Green party Leader Jim Harris took his environmental message to the heart of the Canadian oilpatch Wednesday, saying he would eliminate tax breaks to fossil-fuel sectors unless they become more energy efficient.

Harris said in Calgary that companies should be stripped of federal subsidies and tax incentives until they meet some markers in energy efficiency and emissions reductions.
