Department of Energy and Oil producers predict a Peaking of Oil Production between 2011 and 2015. 10% decline in Oil production by 2015 is foreseen in DOE report and oil supply deficit in 2015 equal to output of Saudi Arabia. By 2027, Oil production will only be able to supply 50% of World’s needs unless new Oil projects fill the void. This is highly unlikely as Offshore drilling loses its appeal after the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. A World wide Economic collapse due to inadequate cheap energy is the result.

Thank Goodness for biofuels.
Can we convert all vehicles to use ethanol fast enough to offset the decline?
Next generation ethanol needs to go from demonstration plants to reality very fast.
Fuel from trash or algae needs to become a reality.
Energy independence and national security means we need to move to biofuels.

If the UNITED $TATES OF PERPETUAL WAR PROFITEERING (or its masters in the ethno/racist Zionist THEOCRAZY of Israel) bomb the Islamic REPUBLIC of Iran, the retail price of gasoline in Los Angeles will be $20.00+ a gallon within a fortnight. That’s three hours of minimum wage for one gallon of gasoline!
So… what happens to the price of bread and everything else if gasoline costs twenty bucks plus?
America the beautiful has become Amerika the crude oil crack addict… and like a rabid dog, it bites anything and everything until it’s shot dead! One does not pet a rabid dog. You shoot it!
Go ahead! Bomb Iran! The whole world will rise up against the violent beast that Amerika has become.

Humanity is just whistling past the graveyard these days. Not for much longer though.
Within the next 5 years people will come to understand the word “overshoot”. There are too many of us and there has been for nearly a century now. It is arguable that the planet can sustain roughly 2 bllion people. The world population in 1930 was 2 billion. That was only 80 years ago! Today, we are clocking in at nearly 7 billion. We’ll never see 8 billion, thankfully.
It is safe to say that the majority of us, and even our parents, would not have been born if not for the discovery of fossil fuels.
Fossil fuels enabled us to create a temporary glut in the food supply. The population increased dramatically as a result. Fossil fuels are finite though and are being rapidly depleted. Fossil fuels won’t last forever, people! As fossil fuels decline, so will the population. Through famine, starvation, war, etc. a lot of us will unfortunately die. Imagine 5 out of every 7 people vanishing. It won’t happen overnight either. Not pleasant dinner banter, is it?
Well, simply put, fossil fuel demand is now beginning to overtake supply. Economic collapse is right around the corner. Hence, we have major problems never seen before in the history of this planet.
Most people don’t know what is happening. Few know and even fewer realize the sheer size of the issue at hand. The majority of people would rather talk about ruby slippers and trips to see the wizard. They are not interested in reality, just fantasy and “business as usual”.
Most of us are in for one big eye opening experience. Google “Easter Island” and get an idea of what we are in store for on a global scale.
Have a nice day!

Richard, bud, you are in some kinda twisted fantasy world.
Iran is NOT a republic. It is a dictatorial theocracy which oppresses women and constantly violates human rights. Iran is a scourge.
Iran needs to go away. It’s just another 3d rate nation that would be utterly irrelevant if not for its oil.
The only reason I do not support trashing Iran is becuase its new degenerate buddy China would prolly get involved.

Yes, Iran is a dictatorship which oppresses women and violates human rights. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia is a country that oppresses women even more (far more, they are not allowed to drive, to give one example) and violates human rights massively and brutally, but that doesn’t seem to bother our politicians, which tells you how hard to laugh when you hear them talk about “haman rights” and “democracy” having anything, remotely, to do with their “concerns”about Iran. It’s a joke and shows utter contempt for truth and for the American people. Other US-backed dictatorships include Qatar and the genocidal Surahto-run Indonesia not that many years ago, but Saudi Arabia’s abuses of women and human rights and religious fanaticism make Iran look mild and moderate by comparison…the Taliban are the only ones that reach or surpass the Saudis. Yet the Saudis enjoy US support and if Obama even tried to cut off that support Obama would be “removed” or more likely given enough heat to make him back off, but doesn’t let We The People off the hook for taking a bit more democratic control over this county run by big money, the United $tate$ of America.

Richard, your calls for shooting the dog” make you as sad (and as dangerous ideologically) as the militaristic US right-wing, and you are gifts to one another; they quote you to justify their plans (which makes things worse for the US and for the world) and you quote them to justify your violent thoughts about the US (which makes things worse for Iran and for the world and for the US) as hate-filled militarists in India are a gift to hate-filled militarists in Pakistan, and vice versa, same here as in so many other cases. Luckily most in Iran don’t hate Americans, only the policy of the American state, and some in this country the US have their eyes open, more each year thanks to the internet, to know that Iranians are not their enemies. Maybe some anti-semites will slowly realize Jews are not their enemy, if they watch some videos of pro-peace Israelis on demonstrations being pushed and harrassed by their own police, some day people will wake up to realize all the people of the world are on the same side (even the pro-violence brainwashed ones, once we can get them to wake up and open their eyes) while the centralized powers – communist, capitalist, corporatist, fascist, or religious or other “rulers” are on the opposite. De-centralize power, that means political power, as well as literally, physically energy. A tough job? Damn right. We’ll succeed or destroy ourselves in not too many decades, if we don’t, given the trajectory of technologies and environmental (“sink” as well as “source”) disasters unfolding. So spread the word and let’s get going. Peace Salaam Shalom.
