Dutch Propose Tighter CO2 Limits

The Dutch government wants to tighten carbon dioxide pollution limits for industry to meet its commitments under the Kyoto Protocol on climate change, the environment ministry said on Wednesday.

France this week announced plans to boost the use of solar power and to hit motorists with higher taxes on the worst polluting cars as it beefs up the fight against global warming.
