He was definately a visionary, but someone who desperately needed new glasses.
On top of that he was suicidal, which colored his worldview. Many peakers have “issues”.

Denmark is set to send convicted foreign criminals to 17-acre remote island in move slammed by opposition parties
my own idea is to buy jihadists for $10 if amputaed, $5 otherwise and hold them on supertardland without food or water. but this is a start for denmark

WRONG! They are going to put any ILLEGAL invader onto an island. Way to go Denmark!
An illegal young male immigrant is an enemy combattant who needs to be treated with military means. If you don’t you lose your country, with autochtones going on drugs or peak oil superstition cult.

LOL, nederlander you are so touchy maybe you are taking this all far too seriously. Funny how you talk about MR the way you do when you project similar signs of a paranoid delusional personality IOW you are unable to distinguish reality from fantasy. I imagine the wrong sort of events might make you entertain the darkside.

power does not precisely equal money. money by itself requires willing participants – i can refuse to sell you something no matter how much you offer, and you’re simply not gonna get it unless i agree.
Power on the other hand, uses violence (and threats of violence) to compel- no agreement necessary. i prefer a society where exchange is based on money (and free agreement), instead of one based on violence (and power).
“As Dowd illustrates, the Clintons are the Democrats’ Rasputin – refusing to be extinguished so that the fractured party can move forward. The Clintons refuse to be discarded. It has been their joint project for half a century to be at the center of the public scene and debate. The way that the whole thing came crashing down in 2016 is too hard for them to bear. They would like to rewrite the ending, but there is no way to do that. -Maureen Dowd via NYT”
“The Clintons’ tin cup is worthy of the Smithsonian. They hoovered more than $2 billion in contributions to their campaigns, foundation and philanthropies. After the White House, the money-grubbing raged on, with the Clintons making over 700 speeches in a 15-year period, blithely unconcerned with any appearance of avarice or of shady special interests and foreign countries buying influence. They stockpiled a whopping $240 million. Even leading up to her 2016 presidential run, Hillary was packing in the speeches, talking to the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, the American Camp Association, eBay, and there was that infamous trifecta of speeches for Goldman Sachs worth $675,000. “What scares me the most is Hillary’s smug certainty of her own virtue as she has become greedy and how typical that is of so many chic liberals who seem unaware of their own greed,” Charlie Peters, the legendary liberal former editor of The Washington Monthly, told me. “They don’t really face the complicity of what’s happened to the world, how selfish we’ve become and the horrible damage of screwing the workers and causing this resentment that the Republicans found a way of tapping into.” He ruefully worries about the Obamas in this regard, too.”

Inertia has kept this massive enterprise moving since 2008. The appearance of growth and stability can be maintained right up and until the moment of collapse.
I’m hedging my bets. The rest of you may do what you will.

Re: Denmark & refugees… It is not only illegal immigrants. It is people who has committed serious crimes either in Denmark or in the country where they came from. So serious that they would warrant a death penalty which the danish government is against and therefore do no extradict criminals to such a punishment.

Even when peak oil is centuries away, at least, that doesn’t mean that fracked oil will lose the price competition against renewables eventually.
The CIA should be worried indeed that their precious empire is based on a product that had its light of day.
