Chinese premier’s visit may pave way for energy tie-up

India and China are likely to sign a framework agreement on co-operation in the energy sector during the visit of Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao to India in March. He will be accompanied by a large delegation of oil majors.

Petroleum minister Mani Shankar Aiyar will also meet officials of Chinese oil companies urging them to invest in India and for building pipelines to connect the two countries, sources said
