China’s three major Airlines are to make an appeal to the State Council for a reduction in tax on jet fuel imports to lower their operation costs, the 21st Century Herald reported.
The three carriers will request that the government exempt the importers from tariffs on jet fuel imports and lower value-added tax (VAT) levied on jet fuel imports and sales, the newspaper said, citing unidentified sources.
