China and Uzbekistan are expected to sign a deal for a $600 million oil joint venture during the visit of Uzbek President Islam Karimov, Karimov told the People’s Daily newspaper in an interview published on Wednesday.
“During this visit, Uzbekneftegaz and China National Petroleum Corp will sign an agreement worth a total investment of $600 million to establish a joint venture,” the state-run newspaper quoted Karimov as saying.
