Chinese exports of rapeseed oil have picked up, due to strong demand for biodiesel in Europe ahead of the winter, traders said on Friday.
Traders said the two cargoes sold to Germany were shipped in August and September with prices quoted at about $680 per tonne, including cost and freight. “Demand from Europe rises as biodiesel producers shift to use rapeseed oil instead of palmoil ahead of the winter season,” said one trader. Chinese crushers might ship another 20,000 tonnes before the end of this year. “
