Just days before Christmas — the most travelled holiday of the year — a mini fuel shortage is plaguing the city.
At an Esso station at Eglinton Ave. E. and Don Mills Rd. yesterday, just down the street from an Imperial Oil corporate office, motorists running on empty were perplexed by the news as they stopped to refuel.
Courtney King got out of his car only to be met by a sign on the pump that read “Out of Fuel … We Apologize for the Inconvenience.”
