British Gas ponders third price hike

British Gas customers were today warned that bills may have to rise for the third time since January last year.

Centrica, the parent company of British Gas said wholesale gas prices have risen by 25% over the past three months and asserted that higher bills would be necessary to protect profits if they do not ease.
