Bright nights from solar energy

Scientists are to help power an Edinburgh university by generating electricity to use when its solar panels are not working at night.

In the first Scottish project of its kind, experts at Napier University are to create harmless hydrogen fuel.

The team want to break down electricity created by the solar panels into hydrogen gas using electrolysis, which can then be saved for night use.
