Rising output from two new offshore wells will push Brazilian oil production to a new record next month, the president of government oil giant Petrobras said Wednesday.
Jose Eduardo Dutra said the two wells in the Campos Basin near Rio would raise domestic output beyond the one-day record of 1.64 million barrels per day set in March, 2003, the government news agency Agencia Brasil said.
