RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Brazil’s state-run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA says it has struck more oil in ultra-deep waters near the huge offshore Tupi field.
Petrobras says it discovered oil at 22,221 feet below the surface in the Santos Basin, 155 miles off the coast of the state of Sao Paulo.
The company announcement on Thursday didn’t say how much oil had been found.
