Two explosions on a Russian gas pipeline that cut off supplies to neighbouring Georgia today were set off deliberately, Russian news agencies quoted a senior prosecutor as saying.
Explosive devices were used to destroy two sections of the Mozdok-Tbilisi gas pipeline in Russia’s Caucasus mountains region of North Ossetia, Interfax news agency quoted Deputy Prosecutor-General Nikolai Shepel as saying.
Georgia depends entirely on pipelines from Russia for its gas.
