Biox to use palm oil for biodiesel plants

JAKARTA, Thurs: Biox Group BV, a Netherlands-based biofuel producer, says it will spend e250 million (e1 = RM4.51) on building four 50MW power plants that use palm oil as fuel and sell shares for the first time.

Each plant will generate as much as 100 million euros in annual sales, starting early 2007 when the first station will begin production, group finance director Edgare Kerkwijk said in an interview yesterday.
