Bin Laden Accuses West of Seeking to Steal Sudan Oil

Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden accused the U.S. of seeking to steal oil in Sudan’s Darfur region in an audiotape broadcast by the satellite television station al- Jazeera and authenticated by the U.S.

Bin Laden said Muslim fighters should be prepared to fight “crusaders” in the west of Sudan where the United Nations is seeking to send 20,000 troops.
