Australia’s government is committed to boosting uranium exports to redress the imbalance between the size of the nation’s reserves and its exports, a senior government executive said.
Australia has about 37 percent of the world’s known low- cost uranium resources, worth about A$100 billion ($71 billion) at today’s prices, yet it lags Canada as a producer, John Hartwell, head of resources at the Department of Industry Tourism and Resources, said today.
