Angolan Prime Minister Fernando da Piedade has said that Cabinda province would be granted a special status as part of negotiations to end secessionist fighting in the oil-rich area.
“The situation in Cabinda compels the government to adopt measures including the creation of a special status for the province,” Da Piedade told parliament.
