Sometimes, it seems like we’re standing still when it comes to national energy policy. It seems we’re giving little more than lip service to the idea of weaning ourselves off of foreign oil and finding ways to increase our use of other energy sources.
Others aren’t so stalled. This month there were stories about Brazil and many European countries’ decisive steps to improve their energy situations. The Wall Street Journal reported Monday that Brazil has completed a 30-year program to develop a cost-effective alternative to gasoline. It expects to be energy independent
