Sustainability is the emerging 21st century imperative. This century the industrial demand for more, an unconditional evermore, will become a sustainable call for enough, and for economic growth that means ecological improvement, not ecological destruction. Sustainability is the ability of future generations to have opportunities broadly similar to those we enjoy today. It rests upon the well being of the inextricably linked human and natural worlds.
