“Last summer, wasn’t it up around $2 a gallon?” Remley asked. “And I don’t think it hurt tourism. People are still going to come to Maine in the summer. They’re not going to let gas prices curtail their fun.”
Monmouth resident Donna Wade agreed. “You still have to get places,” she said, while her son filled up their minivan at the pumps. “I don’t think it will change anything.”
