If you're going to make statements like this, then don't be surprised when your credibility score is roughly zero on your doomer economic arguments.

By the way, if you want to cite some publication as being "at the cutting edge if [sic] financial news", a credible choice would be "The Economist", because they actually write good articles about economics and use real world data instead of pushing a hard crash doomer agenda and being wrong many times each and every week.

Would either you or Asg, care to cite specific examples of ZH, making wrong predictions. And provide links to corroborate said wrong predictions. Easy for you deniers to make blanket statements without backing them up. Which is pretty much ALL your statements! It really is getting pathetic

Yeah, so everything did not grind to a halt after march 15th. The repeated calls for the collapse of the dollar never happened. And the spike in gold & silver prices never happened. If you had following their advice and pilled money into silver when it was $20 you would be sitting on some pretty significant losses right now. Outcast_Searcher is right. They clearly push a hard core doomer agenda and care more about click baiting with sensationalist headlines and articles than the truth.

If you want to nitpick news you've got a full-time job. No news is perfect. But ZeroHedge is, as explained above, specifically a click-bait doom blog. No amount of linking to ZeroHedge is an effective appeal to authority. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. Just because someone writes up a prediction onto something that looks like a news site does not classify it as serious journalism. That's the very definition of fake-news, in fact. Dressing up screeds and propaganda and infomercials and taboid sensationalism as if they're news.

Context is everything. If a news story presents a edited clip of someone speaking without showing the broader context of what they were talking about its deception. When news leaves out important facts that would counter whatever narrative they are trying to push, they are practicing deception as well.

Anymore you have to cross-check practically everything you read or see on the news because there is generally an agenda at work.

The Holodomor reference is a lie. There was no engineered famine and the role of farmers who resisted forced collectivization by burning their crops and killing their livestock cannot be fobbed off as of no consequence. It contributed directly to the famine in Ukraine even if collectivization instigated the whole process. The people screeching about the Holodomor the most did not even live through it. They were under Polish rule between 1920 and 1939. The Lenin gifted eastern Ukraine experienced the famine which extended to the Volga and the Kazakhstan. Today we have an inverse of Holocaust denial in the form of Holocaust fantasy. Ethnic Russians (in Ukraine and elsewhere) were top of the list of victims, and the term used by the Soviet regime was "razkulachevanya" where "kulaks" (well of ethnic Russian farmers) were the target. Ukrainians never used the word "kulak" and the closest they used was "kurkul". But western Ukrainian worshipers of Hitler's henchman Stepan Bandera who did not live through any famine claim ethnic Russians were safe and well fed while only pure Ukrainians died. They even spread blood libel that the ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine are only there thanks to the Holodomor. They were there centuries before 1917 and Lenin's territorial gifts.
