Your e-mails: Fueling America

CNN asked for user suggestions to deal with our fossil fuel dependence. Many of the responses were pretty good. Like this one:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'D')o American policy makers and politicians realize that since 1966, we have added 100 million people to the U.S. -- all energy consumers? If the Senate amnesty bill becomes law, we can expect (to add) 60 million to over 100 million people to the U.S. -- all energy consumers -- just over the next 20 years! We must cut domestic consumption and develop alternative sources of energy. But what progress can we achieve if we cut consumption by half while we allow the U.S. population to double? There are no alternative sources of energy that can cope with unlimited population growth! Therefore, any real solution to our energy problems must be accompanied by serious measures to curb legal and illegal immigration, the driving force behind the U.S. population growth.

PC liberal twit mode intitated/: How dare he decide that other people don't deserve to live here like he does. This is America everyone should be allow here. Remember your ancestors were immigrants.:\PC liberal twit mode deactivated.

I feel dirty just thinking someone thinks like that.

I'm complaining about Europe and its immigration problem at the southern borders, but Uncle Sam is no way exempt from an invasion. The energy crunch is to render these ventures rather ugly I'm afraid.

Sorry, but I have sand in my vagina:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')f the Senate amnesty bill becomes law, we can expect (to add) 60 million to over 100 million people to the U.S. -- all energy consumers -- just over the next 20 years!
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'c')an we achieve if we cut consumption by half while we allow the U.S. population to double?

The US population is 300 million. Adding even 100 million is only a 33.33% increase, not a 100% increase (ie. double). Dumbass American. (Probably an illegal :)).
