I personally hope to God the Russian Defense Ministry is correct and this is some kind of myth in the popular media. I also hope to God that George W. is not so stupid as to listen to those who would tell him this would be a slam dunk; kind of like Iraq!

Unfortunately most of my countrymen would not be able to find Iran or Iraq on a globe without labels, and a long time to look for them! Most of them honestly don’t know the difference.

I think Bushco is less stuck on stupid, and more stuck on dangerous, delusional, arrogant and sociopathic. Bushco recognizes the threat from the new Congress - for example, the way they are investigating the Justice Department's (and Office of the President's) firings of the Federal prosecutors who wouldn't play ball with the Republicans - and have likely concluded that their way to keep power and non-accountability is either by picking a fight with Iran and/or create other emergencies related to an imploding American society.

The Congressional Democrats probably recognize the crisis in the making, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is why Nancy Pelosi is visiting the Middle East, eventually to meet with Syrian officials.

Iran accuses US jet fighters of violating airspace

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'S')un Apr 1, 3:27 PM ET

TEHRAN (AFP) - US warplanes have violated Iranian airspace in the southwestern oil province of Khuzestan, the Arabic language channel of Iranian state television quoted a local military chief as saying on Sunday.

However, a US military spokesman said he had checked into reports of an airspace violation and denied that any took place.

"Two US aircraft trespassed into Iranian airspace northwest of (the port city of) Abadan before flying southwest into Iraq," a Revolutionary Guards commander in Abadan identified only as Colonel Aqili was quoted as saying by the Al-Alam channel's website.

"The planes left white vapour trails, attracting the local people's attention," he said, without elaborating on when the alleged incursion took place.

The incident happened close to Iran's border with Iraq, where the US and British military are deployed in force, he said.

I'm just a little curious, though, about why I haven't seen this reported anywhere else yet? There are alot of aircraft carrier battle groups that have just been shifted into the gulf very recently-enough to carry out such a strike?

As ex-military I can speak from experience that the united states is trying to provoke Iran into attacking them first, thus giving Bush justification for war. Though, I don't see Iran being stupid enough to launch a first attack, they are outgunned and outnumbered and will lose alot of lives in the first moments of the attack. Our military will not be unleashing ground troops on iran, we will be launching missles to bury tehran, Which is where we excel.

Ya know the strange thing about vapor trails? They don't move with the prevailing wind. They are totally immune to that because petrol pollution is so strong it just says F you to mother nature. Local peoples... ya... I would not rely on local peoples around here to tell me what the color of the sky is.

I've had a bad feeling for awhile now, so hopefully this doesn't go down.

But why do you blame Christians for this? I certainly don't advocate attacking Iran and I also have a feeling something much deeper and much more sinister than the surface reveals is at work here.

It stinks all the way back to Bavaria circa 1776.

Ok Important question:

First of all I'm sure if the attack was supposed to happen at these times it's probably been changed but still......

The attack is supposed to be between 4 am to 4 pm on April 6th local Iran time. (another article said local time and this one didn't)

How does this convert to Eastern Time in the USA?

Thanks,
Chuck

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '[')b]US jet fighters violate Iran's airspace: military

Image

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'U')S warplanes have violated Iranian airspace in the southwestern oil-rich province of Khuzestan, Al-Alam Arabic language news satellite channel quoted a local military chief as saying on Sunday.

"Two US aircraft trespassed into Iranian airspace northwest of (the southwestern port city of) Abadan before flying southwest into Iraq," a local Revolutionary Guards commander in Abadan identified only as Colonel Aqili was quoted as saying on the channel's website.

"The planes left white vapour trails, attracting the local people's attention," he said, without elaborating on when the alleged incursion took place.

The incident happened close to Iran's border with Iraq, where the US and British military are deployed in force.

The US is in a mounting diplomatic confrontation with Iran over its uranium enrichment and Western suspicions that Tehran is bent on developing nuclear weapons, a charge vehemently denied by Iran.

Washington says it wants a diplomatic solution to the nuclear standoff, but it has never ruled out a military option.

Tensions have spiked since Iran's seizure on March 23 of 15 British marines and sailors for allegedly entering Iranian waters.

Iran says the Britons illegally entered its territorial waters while London insists they were in Iraqi waters on a anti-smuggling patrol under UN mandate.

As I said elsewhere, this isn't the first time the US has had an aerial presence in Iranian skies.

Interesting that they're noticing it now.

As for the religious interpretation, frankly GWB fits the mold of the Antichrist: comes in the name of the Lord, great popular acclaim at first, brings down a s---storm, and in the end turns out to have been more about worldly power than anything else. Sad, more than anything else.

--

As for Good Friday: IF there was something being planned, at this point those plans have probably been put off a ways. I suspect that each of these warnings, whether accurate or not, becomes an excuse for the military to say "Not quite yet, Mr. President, we lost the element of surprise..."

Buying time a month at a time.

The longer we can stretch this out, the greater the likelihood of it not happening at all.

They are 7.5 hours ahead of us. So that would be from April 5th at 2030 to April 6th 830.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'G')ood Friday?

Yeah, right. Even the BushCo loonies wouldn't do that.

Wouldn't that make it a greater time to do it? So that, in Bush's mind, Jesus might come back exactly on Easter and he thinks that would just be "super awesome". (He's seems like the dumbass that would do that). Not to mention that would make a killer promo for corporations.

Why blame Christians? Umm...just a guess here, but maybe because Bush is a Christian and has filled his cabinet with people who want the world to end to bring back Christ, which is based upon Christianity. Since they are Christians and it's pretty much their fault, why shouldn't we blame them? We're not saying all Christians just Christians.
